Since 2011: Arumis Consulting GmbH, Munich – founder & managing director; managed numerous projects for clients such as UBS, Julius Bär, European & German private banks, independent wealth/ asset managers, family offices, robo-advisors, foundations, IFAs, start-ups, advisory business, practices and innovative engineering & industrial companies
2008 - 2011: Pegasos Capital GmbH, Munich – founder & managing director; independent private wealth/ asset management company; obtained a license from the German financial services authorities, launched & managed a mutual fund; after almost 4 years sold the company to a strategic investor
2007 - 2008: KIT Fortis Investments, St. Petersburg & Moscow – CFO & COO; leading Russian asset manager with over 100 employees; 50:50 joint-venture between Fortis Investments & KIT Finance; developed the company from number 10 in the Russian market to market leader
2003 - 2006: Fortis Investments, Brussels – Corporate Development Director, member of the supervisory board of Fortis Investments Turkey, prior to that Head of Strategic Marketing, prior to that Senior Manager Product Development; global asset management company with 2,500 employees in 30 offices worldwide and headquarters in Brussels
2000 - 2003: Freelance management consultant & project manager, London – managed a number of projects for clients such as Legal & General, Gartmore Investment, ABN Amro and the Financial Times
1997 - 2000: Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Munich – Consultant, prior to that Associate; team member in a number of strategic projects; member of the global IT and financial services practices
Christian holds BSc and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, as well as an MSc in Business & Management with Distinction from the Strathclyde Graduate Business School in Glasgow, Scotland. During his time in London, he successfully completed a part-time PhD at the East London Business School.
